FAQs

What happens at a consult?

Before your initial consultation we will ask you to fill out a health questionnaire which will ask you your medical history, current medications or supplements and any current concerns. At the consultation we will look at each body system distinguishing any concerns that may need addressing or further investigation. We will discuss your concerns, potential blocks to success, stress levels, sleep patterns, level of activity, environment and likes/dislikes for food planning. Throughout the process, we will focus on understanding the unique underlying factors that may be contributing to your ongoing symptoms and health challenges and use these to help us identify the foods that will give you back your vitality and control over your health, so that you can feel your very best. We will determine the key areas to focus on and discuss the basics of which diet and lifestyle changes are needed to support you in achieving your goals, taking into account your daily commitments and how much change you feel ready to take on.

We suggest you bring any supplements you may be taking to the consultation as well as a pad and pen to write any notes or suggestions to start working on after the consultation.

After your initial consultation you will receive a individualised plan within 72 hours to your email. Your plan will detail food and lifestyle recommendations which focus on improving the areas discussed at the initial consultation. Your plan will include further handouts to support recommendations, meal ideas and recipes. We may suggest some supplement recommendations initially in order to support you through the changes needed.

do you suggest testing?

Yes, depending on your individual case and preferences we may suggest testing which could include blood analysis work with your GP or digestive stool analysis, hormonal work or adrenal stress testing. Nutritional Therapist do not replace conventional medicine or treatments but can complement these and where necessary, dietary changes can be made in conjunction with your Doctor.

What is a member of Ntoi mean?

Nutritional therapists of Ireland (NTOI) are the regulatory board for registered nutritional therapists in Ireland. Members of the NTOI, must complete a 3-year diploma in nutritional therapy and 200 hours in clinic before they can be accepted as members and what separates our organization from other nutritional therapists is that we self-regulate, in the same way that the accounting profession and legal profession do. Qualified nutritional therapists do not offer a “one size fits all” approach. They create individually tailored programmes for their clients which guarantees that the support they offer to your staff will meet their specific needs
